United States of America New Year
In American New Years they believe that black-eyed beans are lucky.

Spanish New Year
When the clock strikes midnight they eat 12 grapes one with every toll to bring good luck for the coming year.

German New Year
In Germany people leave a bit of every food eaten on New Year’s Eve until after Midnight as a way of ensuring a well-stocked larder.

French New Year
In France dinner parties are thrown for the entire family. The French exchange presents and cards.

British New Year
In Britain the custom of first footing is practiced. The first male to enter the house after midnight is believed to bring good luck.
