Acceptation é outra palavra para acceptance, com a conotação de algo ser bem recebido, ou ser aprovado por alguém.
Algumas vezes o termo acceptation é confundido com exception, que é uma palavra para descrever algo excluído de um grupo ou alguma coisa que não adere a uma regra geral.
A palavra acception era bem usado antigamente, mas hoje se tornou obsoleta.
